Liberty Immigration Council (“LIC,” “we,” “us”) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We take your privacy seriously — for many of the people we serve, confidentiality is not a preference but a matter of safety. • Information you give us — your name, email address, preferred language, and anything you choose to share when you submit our Get Help, volunteer, or newsletter forms, or contact us by email.
• Donation information — donations are processed by our third-party payment processor. We receive your name, contact details, and gift amount; we never see or store your full card number.
• Technical information — like most websites, we may collect basic analytics data (pages visited, device type, approximate region) to understand how the site is used and improve it.

How we use your information

• To respond to your request for help and assess how we can assist you.
• To process donations and provide tax receipts.
• To coordinate volunteer participation.
• To send updates you have asked for, such as our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time.

What we never do

• We never share your information with immigration authorities, law enforcement, or any third party without your explicit written consent, except where disclosure is strictly required by a valid legal order.

Donor privacy

Donor information is used solely to process gifts, issue receipts, and — only if you opt in — keep you informed about our work. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law; receipts are provided for every gift.

This site may use a small number of cookies and privacy-respecting analytics to measure visits and improve content. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not build profiles of individual visitors. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; the site will continue to work.

How we protect your information

Form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Access to client information is limited to staff and volunteers who need it to help you, all of whom are bound by confidentiality obligations. Sensitive case details are discussed only after you become a client, under attorney-client confidentiality.

Children

This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Matters involving minors are handled directly with their parent or legal guardian.
