Accessibility Statement

Liberty Immigration Council serves families from many backgrounds, languages, and circumstances — including people who rely on assistive technology. We want every visitor to be able to learn about their rights, ask for help, and support our mission without barriers.

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing practice, not a one-time checkbox: we review the site as we add content and features.

What we’ve done

• Semantic HTML structure with proper headings, landmarks, and labels on every form field.
• Color palette checked for sufficient text contrast on light and dark backgrounds.
• Full keyboard operability — navigation, forms, FAQ accordions, and the donation toggle work without a mouse.
• Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
• Reduced motion support — if your device requests reduced motion, animations and smooth-scrolling effects are disabled automatically.
• Responsive layout that supports zoom up to 200% and small-screen devices.
• Content written in plain language, available in English, with Spanish and Russian assistance offered through our services.

Known limitations

Some third-party content — such as the embedded donation processor — is controlled by external providers, and its accessibility may vary. If you have difficulty completing a donation or form, email support@libertyimmigrationcouncil.org and we will help you directly.
