Our first year: laying a foundation for justice
A transparent account of our launch, program development, community partnerships, and vision for the year ahead.
Liberty Immigration Council was founded in 2026 with a clear and urgent mission: to expand access to affordable immigration legal services for the individuals and families who cannot afford quality representation.
In our first year, we built the organizational infrastructure, legal team, community partnerships, and digital outreach capacity needed to serve families across our region.
What we built
Received 501(c)(3) nonprofit status.
Launched an attorney-led immigration legal services program.
Built a multilingual library of community resources.
Began offering Know Your Rights workshops for the community.
Launched a secure online intake system.
Established partnerships with community organizations.
Specific participation and case figures for our first year will be reported in our full annual report and first IRS Form 990 filing.
Built on transparency
As a first-year nonprofit, we are building our financial reporting infrastructure. Our first IRS Form 990 will be filed for the 2026 fiscal year. We are committed to full transparency and will publish our Form 990 as soon as it is filed.
